VARSITY HEAD COACH
Zeph Zinsman (1st year) EMAIL                                         This is Zeph's first year with Los Gatos.  He was a four sport athlete in high school; Baseball, Football, Basketball & Volleyball. He won gold and silver medals playing club volleyball and was a setter and opposite on the junior national team. He briefly played on the US National Volleyball team. Zeph accepted a scholarship to play baseball at Cal Poly SLO, where he redshirted his freshman year before transferring to Mission College. There he set the record for home runs and was the MVP for the State of California. He then received a full scholarship to to play baseball at LSU. He was a regional MVP and National Player of the Week.  Zeph was drafted by the Toronto Bluejays and played professional baseball for 3 1/2 years. He coached the Boys JV volleyball team at Saratoga last year. Zeph also is an instructor for one on one strength training and sport specific tutoring. He is attending San Jose State to earn an Elementary Teaching Credential. Zeph married Kathleen Haggerty in November 2006.

Varsity Assistant Coach                             Michael Robards (2nd year)                                 This is Michael's second year on staff with the boys program. A graduate of LGHS, he was an integral part of the 2004 CCS Champion team. While at Los Gatos, Mike was a four year starter on both JV and Varsity. He was an All Mercury Player and 1st Team All League for two years. He was Freshman of the Year while playing volleyball at Grossmont College in San Diego.He returned to his hometown to continue his education and started coaching volleyball. He coached the JV girls team at Los Gatos this year and assisted on the boys JV team last year. He is the 15's coach and a former player with Apex and coaches the 16 Blue team with the Stingray Club. Mike is an avid outdoorsman, he is always ready for hiking, camping, fishing, skydiving, whitewater rafting, snowboarding (pretty much anything your can think of that takes place outdoors)
